David Henrie To Play Young Ronald Reagan in Disney Biopic

David Henrie is going to the big screen with Disney.
The 25-year-old former
Wizards of Waverly Place actor will play a young Ronald Reagan in Disney’s biopic about the actor turned President of the United States, THR reports.
The film, titled Reagan, is told from the point of view of a KGB officer keeping tabs on Reagan since his days as an actor, SAG president and staunch anti-communist.
“It’s a universal film with universal values and principles,” David shared in a statement about the film.
The indie film, adapted by Space Cowboys’ Howard Klausner from two biographies by Paul Kengor, is executive produced by Ralph Winter and produced by Mark Joseph.
