Tour cancelled, still no comment from Jonas Brothers
October 15th, 2013
Fans of the
Jonas Brothers are still reeling from last week's cancellation of the trio's entire fall tour, reportedly the result of an epic argument about the band's musical direction. Making matters worse, and certainly more mysterious, is the fact that none of the brothers has offered any sort of comment on the cancellation — not even an apology to the fans who've been waiting years for the chance to see their favorite band.
The brothers' curious silence has opened up room for wildly speculative rumors about the band's eventual dissolution its causes.
A few days ago,
Joe Jonas was snapped in the company of Mike Bayer, an addiction specialist and the CEO and founder of Cast Recovery Services. Bayer is best known for his work with
Demi Lovato, who entered rehab in November 2011 for "emotional and physical issues." It's unclear what the nature of Jonas' relationship with Bayer is, but the timing of their appearance together has some fans worrying that substance abuse played a role in the band's decision to cancel the tour.
Whatever the case, it doesn't look like the band's issues will be resolved anytime soon. According to E! Online, Joe was supposed to meet with his brothers in New York over the weekend to discuss the band's future, but opted to stay in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Blanda Eggenschwiler. They were photographed kissing each other in front of a very creepy Peter Pan statue last Friday.
