Mini Biography

Ricky Mabe, born Richard Mabe, was born in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Ricky attended St. Thomas High School and graduated in 2000. Ricky has been working as an actor in Montreal since he was twelve. He made his debut in Frankenstein and Me (1996) alongside Burt Reynolds.

He continued to work around Montreal on various projects, until eventually earning lead roles in Nightmare Man (1999), Phantom of the Megaplex (2000) and Believe (2000). Ricky is an avid fan of music, movies, and stand up comedy, at which he recently tried his hand for the first time.

Trivia

• Is close friends with Jay Baruchel.
• Trained with a hockey pro prior to the movie Goon (2011), and actually did the stunt where Liev Schreiber's character elbows him in the face -- he was injured for real.
• In 2012, when auditioning for the role of Wisconsin-born "David" in Dirty Beautiful, Ricky arrived dressed for the part in a flannel shirt. Director Tim Bartell was impressed by his commitment, since it was one of the hottest days of the summer.
